Submission Guidelines

The Food Action Society invites Directory listings from North Okanagan businesses that produce or process food locally, or distribute local food products.

We also welcome Calendar and Blog submissions from these businesses, as well as from other individuals or organizations interested in sharing information and events about local food issues.

In addition to the Terms of Use below, the Directory listings and the Calendar or Blog submissions are created subject to the following:
1. Businesses advertised need to be local food producers or processors, based in the North Okanagan area, or distributors or retailers that market local food products. It will be the responsibility of these businesses to keep their own listing details up to date in order to provide the general public with reliable and current information.
2. The Food Action Society does not accept listings for businesses promoting food that has been produced and processed outside the North Okanagan area, that is illegal, or that contains hazardous materials. The Food Action Society reserves the right to remove listings from the Local Food Directory that we consider inappropriate.

Terms of Use

By using the Food Action Society website now or in the future, you agree unconditionally to release the Food Action Society of the North Okanagan, its Directors and agents from any and all liability whatsoever resulting from, pursuant to, or connected with such use and any future transactions resulting therefrom.

Information provided through the Food Action Society website is supplied by the lister of the material, not the Food Action Society of the North Okanagan. No advisor, agent, or employee is liable or responsible for any warranty, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy of the material description, the suitability for a particular use, or the salability of any material offered through this service. Neither the Food Action Society of the North Okanagan, its sponsors nor any member, advisor or director thereof is liable for any information, error, or representation, nor makes any warranty, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy or quality of any information, service, or product/equipment offered through the Food Action Society website.

From time to time, the administrator of the Food Action Society website may email notices to you that are specific to users of the Directory, Calendar or Blog. We guarantee that we will not release your contact information to any third parties.
