Co-Chair Needed for Roots 'n Brews Planning Committee

The Food Action Society is seeking a Co-Chair for the planning committee of the 2nd Annual Roots 'n Brews gala. If you are full of energy and love to bring together various facets of the community in one stellar event, then we would very much like to hear from you! This role will require a variable time commitment (of 1 to 10 hours/week) from now until September 24th. You will keep the 'finger on the pulse' of a planning committee that is 6 - 8 people strong. Details that need to be overseen include: securing a venue (in progress), finding sponsors and prizes, working with award-winning Gumtree Catering on the menu and subsequently arranging ingredient donations from local producers/growers, finding engaging entertainment, marketing the event, and reporting to the Board regularly. You will have tenacious organizational and communication skills, love people, are adaptable, and able to set regular meetings with the planning committee. Sustainability and Leadership Awards - Nomination Deadline April 22nd

If you, or members of your organization, know of individuals, groups or organizations that are eligible for the awards please nominate them by Earth Day, April 22, 2012.
City of Vernon Sustainability Awards Categories:
· Building and Development
· Sustainable Business
· Community Sustainability
· Youth Initiatives
Contributions to at least two of the three areas of sustainability (i.e. economic, social or environmental excellence) will be acknowledged with Seed Awards.

RDNO Environmental Leadership Awards Categories:
