Join Food Action and Mikaela Cannon for a show & tell on common edible and medicinal weeds found in the garden. This workshop was our most popular event in 2018. Mikaela will bring samples of edibles she makes with common weeds for taste testing.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Mikaela Cannon is an avid plant lover who runs a small homestead/farm with her husband and kids in Armstrong. She wild crafts and gardens to feed her family, and teaches people how to use plants from the wild in her business, Herbal Myth. Currently, she’s working towards a degree in Ethnobotany.
ABOUT THE VENUE: Patchwork Farms is managed by Food Action. The farm is a collaborative community teaching farm located at OC Vernon, and the food grown there is donated to community organizations. We have two entrances – one behind the new Trades Building, and one gate in the new Plaza area by the College Bus loop. Parking is available near both gates. There is no charge for parking in the evenings at this time.
